Bring RDI® Strategies Into Your Classroom or Home
A practical training pathway for teachers, support staff, and parents.
RDI® (Relationship Development Intervention) is an approach that builds a child's social, emotional, and cognitive growth through guided, everyday interactions, not isolated drills or one-off sessions.
As a Support Associate, you'll learn how to bring these principles into your daily interactions, whether that's in the classroom or at home, so the strategies become part of how you naturally engage with a child, not something separate from your day.

This training is designed for:
Teachers and school staff who want to apply RDI®-informed strategies in the classroom.
Parents who want a deeper, more structured understanding of RDI® to support their child at home.
Anyone working under the guidance of a certified RDI® Consultant, rather than practicing independently.
You don't need a clinical background to take this course. You need a willingness to learn and apply relationship-focused strategies consistently.
Want ongoing support from other parents and educators using RDI® strategies? Join our SharedSteps Community alongside your training.
You'll complete the first 7 sessions of our full RDI® Professional Training 1 program - the same foundational content our certified consultants train on.
By the end, you'll understand:
What this track does not include: independent consultant certification. Support Associates apply strategies under a consultant's guidance rather than practicing independently — full certification requires completing all stages of professional certification.
Sessions are recorded, so if you miss one, you can catch up, but live participation and discussion are a core part of the learning experience, so we strongly encourage attending live.
